TITLE: Coordinator, Individual Employment Services

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Director of Employment Services, the Employment Services Coordinator is responsible for the administration and management of Employment programs which provide employment opportunities in the community.  In addition, this position provides training to staff assigned to employment services while ensuring individualized programming for employment services participants. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develops group supported employment opportunities in the community by following up with potential employers/business contacts
  • Coordinates staff schedules consistent with the demand for supported employment groups and individual work sites based on customer need
  • Responsible for providing skill or developmental training in an area of specific activities as designated
  • Monitors proper implementation and documentation of the Individual Service Plans for each program participant
  • Coordinates the overall implementation of the program for each program participant based on his/her ISP in conjunction with the Case Manager
  • Ensures that program components meet the assessed needs of the program participants in his/her ISP in conjunction with Employment Services Team
  • Performs task analysis of all jobs on contract and work sites
  • Develops and implements task analysis-based training programs with emphasis on having individuals complete a total job to their maximum independent ability
  • Meets with program participants (and/or designates staff) to complete required paperwork; completes all review documentation
  • Attends and participates in in-service training, staff meetings and other activities to facilitate professional development
  • Conducts quality assessments of GSE work sites
  • Assists with CARF accreditation
  • During absence, ensure that all responsibilities are delegated accordingly.
  • Ensures completion of requirements for program participant payroll
  • Assists in compliance with Agency policies/procedures, OSHA and CARF standards
  • Assumes other duties, responsibilities and special projects as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to go up and down stairs
  • Ability to speak, read, hear, and understand technical written material
  • The employee is frequently required to climb, stoop, twist, or bend and lift up to fifty (50) pounds, using proper body mechanics to minimize injuries to self and people served
  • Full awareness of environmental stimuli
  • Ability to implement Crisis Management, Safety & Pro Act techniques (training included)

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with an emphasis in the areas of education, psychology, social services, or related field (work experience may be substituted for education)
  • Proven ability to work with and motivate staff members
  • Ability to earn respect and confidence of Momentum WORK, Inc. staff
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff within the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer proficiency (esp. Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Teams etc.)
  • Compassion and respect for persons with disabilities
  • Will need to be available during any disasters, per disaster plan
  • Valid CA Driver’s License: must have an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the Agency’s insurance carrier and by Agency policy
  • Two (2) years’ experience working with persons with developmental and/or other disabilities in individual and/or group settings preferred; One (1) year of w year of which must be increasingly responsible for administrative and/or supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality regarding persons served and other related information
  • Valid certification in CPR/First Aid (Training included)
  • Ability to demonstrate patience and understanding because people served may have intellectual, emotional, or behavioral challenges, in addition to physical limitations.
