Position: Lead Coach, Harbor Crew
Location: The Harbor in Santa Barbara, CA

About Us:At Momentum WORK, Inc., we empower individuals with developmental disabilities by providing meaningful vocational training and support. Our Harbor Crew plays a vital role in this mission, and we're looking for a dynamic Lead Coach to steer the team toward success.
Your Adventure Includes:
- Team Leadership: Lead by example, inspiring and guiding Harbor Crew Coaches to deliver exceptional service.
- Training & Development: Provide engaging vocational training to individuals, ensuring they understand their roles and excel in their duties.
- Operational Excellence: Assist in daily operations, including schedule adjustments and work assignments, to ensure smooth and efficient harbor activities.
- Administrative Support: Collaborate with the Harbor Crew Manager on payroll processing and maintain accurate records, including attendance and incident reports.
- Safety First: Conduct comprehensive safety training and ensure all equipment is maintained in optimal condition.
- Community Engagement: Serve as a liaison with community partners, fostering positive relationships and ensuring collaborative success.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable ascending and descending stairs.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, hearing, and understanding technical written materials.
- Lift up to 25 lbs using safe lifting techniques
- Full awareness of environmental stimuli to ensure a safe and responsive environment.
- Willingness to be trained in and implement crisis management and safety techniques

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one (1) year of experience working with persons with developmental and/or other disabilities in individual and/or group settings preferred
- Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality regarding persons served and other related information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to effectively navigate and utilize iPad features and applications for daily tasks, including managing schedules, communication, and data entry.
- Ability to complete tasks with numerous interruptions
- Compassion and respect for persons with disabilities
- Ability to demonstrate patience and understanding because people served may have intellectual, emotional, or behavioral challenges, in addition to physical limitations
- May need to be available during any disasters, per disaster plan
- Must have reliable phone
- Valid CA Driver’s License
- Valid certification in CPR/First Aid (Training included)
